For a while now, Fortnite has been one of the most popular games out there. This game is the from the "be the last man standing genre" or "battle royale" type game, with its popularity being so high because of the highly anticipated PUBG that was still not out at the time. Fortnite involves you fighting your way to become the last one standing, along with keeping the storm in mind so you don't get lost to it. The main mechanic that made this game like no other game out at the time is the building mechanic, which allows you to construct walls, stairs and floors to protect yourself against enemies that you come across. Being that Fortnite is Epic's latest game, it receives updates every week ranging from new skins to new game modes to never make it a boring game, also everything that you buy is cosmetic so it wont impact how you play in the game. And there's battle pass, which allows you to get rewards as you keep playing Fortnite. On top of all that the whole game is free so anyone can play it if you have a console or compatible enough computer. Fortnite is one of those games many people just can't stop playing, and for good reason, it truly is a good game when you look at it.

In a sense, you could think of your portfolio as a representation of you. When people look at it, it should tell the person three things, "this is what i like to do, these are my skills," and " this is how professional I am." Essentially showing who you are as a creative individual, out of the many other creative individuals in the world.
When making a portfolio for whatever it is that you're trying to pursue, it is important that it shows your interest and the things that you like, or else it wouldn't be yours in the first place. This should let the person know that you actually enjoy making or doing the things that are in the portfolio and that, if they were to be offered a career that involves doing the things that are inside, then that the person would jump at that chance and not let go of it. The work that is made to be put in the portfolio also has to show what skills you have in that area, for instance, you would see a lot more 3D character modeling rather than animation if that person were better at 3D modeling. The work basically has to tell the person that you have been educated in that area of work, whether being taught yourself or by another person. Professionalism would be the most important factor for a great portfolio. This should includes you being organized, having work related to your passion and you're trying to impress someone. This is very important when trying to make a great portfolio so spending the extra time to make sure everything is correct and in order is recommend. As for me, the portfolio i have at the moment doesn't reflect anything that i have said in this blog post, but after studying the importance that a portfolio will have when you aspire to get a job, especially in the game industry, I now have a idea of how essential it is when putting things in a portfolio and how it shows me as a person off to the many people that may happen to visit it. I will keep my first year projects only tro show as a time stamp and how I've grown over the years and when adding new things, I will have to show my best work when it comes to filling this website with content.

We have to work on the tutorials given to us to learn the basics on how and what modifiers work together. Using the Primitives cylinder, box, torus, cone and a sphere, altering with the modifiers make them change visually but without changing the actual shape. Exploring these different options gave me site into how 3ds max works and made me see thing more creatively. The next assignment for me was to make a Table Lamp, making it without the modifiers weren't difficult part but adding the modifiers were a problem, since the lamp by itself was fine. I started by adding the smooth modifier to the rings in the middle of the lamp to make it smoother. Using the mesh tool I made the base of the lamp more textured since lamps have to keep it stable, for the spheres I extruded the points on some of the locations and added a noise modifier to make them fuzzy, lastly for the top of the lamp I made a torus and extrude the shape to make it longer, adding a squeeze modifier to make it a little skinnier.
When 3d modeling, some of the objects you make would look better with a texture to it to make it look realistic, this is where materials come in to play. Materials allow you to add simple colors and/or complex designs to objects in your scene.
To get started, you must have a object selected, any one may do good. Once selected, open the slate material editor using the "M" key, which will bring up the menu. The Material Editor is a workbench for creating, adjusting, managing, and applying materials to objects. On the left, a Material/Map Browser panel where you can choose material and map types (or ready-made materials) to add to the scene. In the middle, a View panel where materials and maps appear as nodes that you can wire together. On the lower right, a Parameter Editor where you can edit the material and map controls. In the material/map browser panel at the left, locate materials standard tab, then standard, and drag the standard entry from the browser and drop it in the active view. Double-click the standard material node to display parameters for the material, under the name field, click the color swatch that is labeled diffuse. it will then bring up a color selector, choose one of your wish to give to the object, then click OK to close the color selector. On the Slate Material Editor toolbar, right-click, then click "Assign Material To Selection". This only works when you still have your object selected. After all of this is done, click the render button, "F9" to render and see your final object look.

If i had the option i wouldn't go anymore. The idea of sitting down for eight hours a day, being guided to leave and go to the next period by the bells, having to be silent most of the time and having to be monitored 95% of the time, feels like Im being controlled by an unknown force. And it doesn't sit well wit me.
lets say that im sitting down having a conversation with you, then i start telling you about how many kind of rocks there are and how they are formed and where you can find them and etc... Boring right?, and at this point you'd want to switch up the conversation to something more desirable to speak about, only. you can't. You're forced to learn everything about rocks even though it doesn't interest YOU. You have no connection to it. You feel nothing about it. It just doesn't "light your spark,". Hey, did you "learn" everything i told you about?, well guess what im going to test you on it, and if you didn't "learn" somethings then your grade is going to be bad. What 's a grade you say?, only a number that can decide YOUR whole life just because, you didn't "learn" something that doesn't apply to you in anyway and probably something you'll never use in your life. Why you ask, do you need to learn about rocks? It's just something you NEED to know... Do you get my point? I don't want to "learn" about certain things, and of course this varies from person to person but i feel like by the time you are of age 14 or 15 in school, you have a pretty good idea of what interests you and what you might want to do in the future. If I'm honest with my self I'm not actually learning things in school, I'm remembering. Remembering what the formula of the circumference to a circle is , remembering who sailed the ocean blue, remembering over and over again what slavery is and what happen during the time. Because in regular day by day life, these things do not matter. If it was my choice I'd drop history so fast to learn about life skills like managing money and stuff. The school system needs to change because these aren't the old days were many people work in factories, trust me America is to greedy and lazy to make their own things anymore. That's why Finland is kicking our butts when it comes to education. Just because i don't remember stuff on a subject doesn't make me less educated. As the third year for rainbow six siege is coming up, many avid fans are anticipating on the new things that are going to be coming to R6. New operators, new gamemode, map changes, a banning system, and a whole different version of the game.
Every year there's always new operators and things added to the game, to begin, there are two new attackers that are going to be available soon. “Finka,” an operator that uses nanobots inside your body to heal you, improve recoil and aim, be resistant to effects and allow you to be downed but not out a second time if her ability was used the first time to get you up. The second is “Lion”, having a drone that is indestructible above the map at all times, this machine scans for enemies giving the defenders a 5 second countdown before scanning, during the scan defenders have to “stand still” or in other words not walk, this includes crouch walking and prone shifting. However this does not include shooting, moving your sight or throwing explosives. Defenders who are caught walking during the scan will have a red outline of where they are at including which operator they are. Both attackers will be two speed and two armor and will be playable in the new gamemode Outbreak. I can tell that these two will be picked the most when they come out.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8zhK8pM3yI The pen tool inside of adobe illustrator is no doubt the most powerful tool in the application. Seeing as It can be used to create countless lines, curves, and shapes, and serves as the building block for illustration and design. The tool is used by creating anchor points, and then by connecting those points with lines, which can be connected further to create shapes. Using the pen tool there is no limits to what you can make.
When opening a new document in Illustrator, the pen tool can be found in the toolbar, having the same resemblance of a pen , it can be easily found. Or to make things quicker you can simply press the "P" key. to create anchor points and lines, the fist point you make will be your beginning anchor point, clicking anywhere else will make a line and your third point will start to form a shape. Repeat this process until you have the shape you want your going to have to connect the points to get a closed shape. At this part you can now edit you shape from the anchor points you have made, returning to an anchor point you've made and placing the mouse over it you'll notice the small minus. This means you can delete that anchor and remove that point and connect the renaming ones. Creating curves is just as easy, as you make points, click and hold to keep your point selected, then drag it to make the curve. To add you can also adjust angle and slope, Select an anchor point and you'll see handles, moving them will adjust the lines.
https://design.tutsplus.com/tutorials/illustrators-pen-tool-the-comprehensive-guide--vector-141 We recently started a new assignment called HULKASH!. Using the tool Pathfinder we were able to make an image of the superhero Hulk. The Pathfinder tool, probably the most useful tool in illustrator, allows you to cut, divide and trim objects on your art board. This tool making unique shapes ultimately creating things never seen before.
To display the Pathfinder you will have to go to Window > Pathfinder to make it visible. The first Shape Mode is Unite, which will combine all the selected objects into a single larger shape. The second Shape Mode is Minus Front, and it allows you to use any top object to create a cutout from the one underneath. The third option is Intersect, which will create a new shape by using the overlapping sections of the selected objects. Last but not least, we have Exclude, which instead of removing any of the non-overlapping sections does the exact opposite and gets rid of the intersecting surfaces of the objects.
Heading into the third quarter of Scientific Visualization, we now start to learn about new programs used to create images. The application we are now working in is Adobe Illustrator, an app used to create professional digital drawings.
Adobe Illustrator a vector graphics editor, is great for making images that have to be resized constantly without losing its quality.A wide range of artist favor this software because of it's all features that make it easy to make special shapes and create a whole picture out of them. My first experience with Illustrator was easy, seeing as I've already had messed around with the mobile version and had a moderate understanding of Photoshop's tools jumping into Illustrator was simple. The way it was set up is almost the same as Photoshop's interface and some of the tools were similar. There was this one tool that was new that we played around with which allowed you to change the shape completely and another where you could type words around the shape you make. The next day there was an assignment to make a pizza using shapes to get a feel for the software. Though there were few days that we worked on illustrator, I can tell that this editor has a lot more in store for us.
